Meet the Artists
If love means being repeatedly stabbed by tiny needles, the talented artists at Top Shelf Tattoo are your soul mates. We've worked hard to stitch together a family of tattoo artists with various styles and specialties. Read below to learn more about our artists. Hover over an artist and click image gallery to check out his or her work.
Jef has been drawing ever since he could ruin his parents' walls. Fortunately, when it came time to graduate from walls to skin, Jef had spent plenty of time honing his craft. Jef specializes in neotraditional tattoos and dark subject matter with bright, bold, and vibrant colors. With Jef, every tattoo is a custom piece of art designed to fit your body. His goal? To put out the best tattoo possible.
Mike Reich came aboard the Top Shelf Crew in November of 2013 and has proven to be one of our greatest assets ever since.
Mike has spent over 15 years perfecting his art as a licensed body piercer and tattoo artist. He began his career at Crow’s Creations in the autumn of 1999 and spent over a year as an apprentice there. From there, he has worked as an artist at a number of shops while traveling from coast to coast. These shops include, but are hardly limited to: White Mountain Tattoo, Wild Side Tattoo, Atomic Tattoo, Old Port Tattoo, For Good, Lost Image, and Infinity Tattoo.
Mike started Tattooing thanks to his mom, who would tow him around while she got tattoos. Having grown up amidst the colorful tattoos of southern California’s Punk Scene, Mike is also a product of his environment, which was (and continues to be) a major influence on his style and aesthetic.
Josh Morgan, otherwise known as “Nacho” at the shop, began his apprenticeship 8 years ago at Prophecy Tattoo and House of Tattoos. He later went on to become a fully licensed tattoo artist at House of Tattoos and Some Funky Skills TAT2ing.
Josh loves traditional, American styles and black and grey wash work. He joined the Top Shelf Team in July of 2013 and has since found his niche and home here.
A North Carolina transplant in the Granite State, Brittany Brothers is equal parts artist, graphic designer, and body modification enthusiast. With her talent and a background in fine arts and graphic design, Brittany perfectly complements our team at Top Shelf Tattoo and looks forward to bringing her art to life on skin. Outside of the gallery, Brittany splits her time between being an artist at Paint Nite and a Graphic Design and Fine Arts student at Manchester Community College.
“I haven't done my best yet…only my best so far.”
Whatever your story is, a tattoo can tell it. Your tattoos are your own canvas of experiences. Your heart, worn on your skin. As artists, that’s something we take seriously by putting all of our creativity and passion into your tattoo. Put simply, we don’t put out tattoos we’re not proud of. When you leave Top Shelf Tattoo with new ink, you can be 100% sure that every tattoo is custom, and every tattoo receives the painstaking attention that sets us apart from the competition.
For many, tattoos are about expression and individuality. So why would we want to open a generic Tattoo Shop? Top Shelf Tattoo Gallery was created to be a place where art and expression can be celebrated and practiced in a gallery atmosphere that makes our clients feel comfortable and inspired. On top of that, we like to think it’s a cool place to hang out. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-in’s are always welcome. Call (603) 232-2231 to set up an appointment or get more info.

“My body is my journal and my tattoos are my story.”
Top Shelf Tattoo Gallery was founded to create the best atmosphere in town to drop in, feel inspired, and get comfortable. But it’s not just limited to tattoos. With an extensive variety of hardware and 100% medical grade equipment, we set the standard when it comes to body piercing. No matter what kind of piercing you want – from earrings to implants – you’re in good hands.
“I do not put tattoos on people; I bring tattoos out of people”
“Being an artist is dragging your innermost feelings out, giving a piece of yourself. No matter which art form, in which medium.” – Henry Rollins
Whether on skin or canvas, none of us would be quite the same without whatever form of creative expressions we choose to call our own. That’s why we’ve dedicated space in our gallery to sharing and exhibiting works from local artists from Manchester and the surrounding area. Could it also be the selfish drive to surround ourselves with even more creativity? Maybe. But can you blame us?
When we opened Top Shelf, we wanted it to be far more than just a tattoo “Parlor”. After all, “Parlor” sounds way too stuffy. Top Shelf Tattoo Gallery puts the spotlight on creativity, and our events focus that spotlight on the community we can’t wait to build. From poetry and music to exhibitions from local artists, the common thread is creativity – and the space we’re creating is its vehicle. So connect with us on Facebook or Twitter and check back often for the latest on what’s going on at the gallery.
